Who We Are
About Kentucky Pole Barn Builders
A locally owned Owensboro crew building sheds, pole barns and storage buildings for homeowners, farmers and small businesses across western Kentucky.
Built here, for the way people out here actually use a building
Kentucky Pole Barn Builders started with a simple observation: plenty of outfits will sell you a building, and far fewer will tell you the truth about where it should sit. Our work begins on the ground — walking the lot, watching where water runs after a storm, checking whether a lumber trailer can even reach the spot you picked.
We are based at 201 St Ann St in Owensboro, and the majority of our projects are within an hour of the shop. That matters. We know which parts of Daviess County sit on clay that stays soggy into April, which river-bottom properties near Lewisport and Hawesville need extra elevation, and how a barn on an exposed ridge in Ohio County takes wind differently than one tucked behind a tree line.
What we do
Storage and utility sheds, garden sheds, workshop buildings, farm and hay sheds, equipment storage, garage-style buildings and full custom pole barns. Some are 8x12 and go up in a day. Some are 40x80 with 16-foot doors, concrete and a finished office corner. We handle both, and we do not pretend one approach suits every property.

How we work
No pressure, no mystery pricing, no crew that vanishes for two weeks mid-project.
We quote in writing
Every proposal itemizes materials, foundation work, doors, finishes and labor so you can see exactly what you are paying for and where you could adjust.
We say no when it matters
If your budget will not cover the pad the building really needs, we will tell you to wait or shrink the footprint rather than build something we know will settle.
We keep one point of contact
The person who walks your site is the person you call with questions during the build.
We build to handle weather
Proper overhangs, closures, fastener spacing, ventilation and flashing details, because humid summers and freeze-thaw winters test all of it.
We respect the property
Ruts avoided where possible and repaired where not, scraps hauled off, and a magnet run over the drive before we leave.
We stand behind the work
If something needs attention after the handoff, call the same number you called at the start. We answer.
Serving neighbors, farms and small businesses
A typical month might include a backyard storage shed in a Sorgho subdivision, a hay shed off a gravel lane near Whitesville, a workshop for a retired machinist in Philpot and an equipment building for a landscaping company on the edge of town. Different budgets, different requirements, same standard of framing.
